Hey-oh, Hi-oh

I was invited to do a music workshop with students at Lambton Christian High in Sarnia. We had a blast, coming up with an escapist summer song. The teens kept shouting out ideas and before we knew it we had an infectious, rollicking keeper that we enthusiastically shared with the rest of the student body and faculty during the closing school assembly.

Hey-oh, Hi-oh

Hey-oh, hi-oh
Hey-oh, heaven-oh
Hot sand. Live band
Hey, everybody, let’s go!

Hey-oh, hi-oh
Hey-oh, heaven-oh
Hot sand. Live band
Hey, everybody, let’s go!

Open spaces drawing me. I’ve been so bound
Sun is shining. Surf is calling me
Everything is telling me to leave this town
Hey, I can hear the sea

Hey-oh, hi-oh
Hey-oh, heaven-oh
Hot sand. Live band
Hey, everybody, let’s go!

Windows down and there’s the sound of crashing waves
Calling every girl and guy
Sky and wind and water, all the things I craved
Hey, I am flying high

Hey-oh, hi-oh
Hey-oh, heaven-oh
Hot sand. Live band
Hey, everybody, let’s go!

Hey-oh, hi-oh
Hey-oh, heaven-oh
Hot sand. Live band
Hey, everybody, let’s go!
Hey, everybody, let’s go!
Hey, everybody, let’s go!
