Don't Take Yourself So Seriously

Serious situations can diminish our laughter and joy. Taking ourselves too seriously threatens our ability to dream and think outside the box, as children do. This light-hearted little song, written while on vacation at our family cottage, invites us to rediscover play. At the time, I really needed this reminder.

Don’t Take Yourself So Seriously

Don’t take yourself so seriously
Life is joyful and laughter is free
Free yourself to be a little child
Let your dreams and your thoughts run wild
Learn to play all over again
The way you could way back
The way you would way back
The way you did way back when
