Is anything more precious than an evening at home with the love of your life? The “almonds” image is a reference to almond sherry which was a favourite of ours during our student years. The University of Western Ontario’s Student Services Department paid to have this love song recorded at SRS Studios in London, and used it in a safe sex video for university students. Their payment became seed money for my second studio album, Nothing Short of Grace (1987).
