Ah, COVID! What can I say about this pandemic that hasn’t already been felt and said by everyone? Nevertheless, the public health restrictions did give me the opportunity to focus on my music in a more intentional way. I edited and rehearsed my lifetime of songs, discarding many, re-learning others, and preparing the keepers for this legacy project.
I’m thankful for the four new songs that I’ve written so far this decade. The occasional house concert with the hope of others to come motivates me to keep playing and working on a new melody or lyric when a musical or poetic idea strikes. Here’s hoping that there are still more songs and performances to come and that the creative juices will keep flowing.
I can’t thank God enough for the songs that are still keeping me sane after all these years.
